The story behind the place

That political gathering left a lasting mark on Ljubljana’s urban memory: the square’s name, the surrounding institutional buildings, and its central role in city life all point back to that moment. Today, what was once a formal congress setting is a public space anchored by Zvezda Park, with remnants and replicas recalling older layers of the city, including Emona and later Baroque and neoclassical elements.
